The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium remains a house of terror for Pep Guardiola and Manchester City after Spurs' 1-0 win on Sunday saw Harry Kane make Premier League and North London history at Tottenham.
It is Spurs' fifth successive win over City at home, an impressive run for both sides against three visitors looking for territory. Spurs also ended the game with 10 men after Cristian Romero picked up a second late yellow card, but City still couldn't find their way home.
Kane's 267th Tottenham goal and 200th of his career came from a City error in the 15th minute and the visitors never found a draw ruled out for the first time since beating Liverpool on October 16.

Harry Kane's reaction to victory, record goal
What he told NBC after the game.“It is difficult to put into words, a magical moment and, above all, a victory. Being here at home in front of the fans. There has been a lot of talk about it and I just wanted to finish it as soon as possible. Going into a big game against one of the biggest teams in the world... it's a great feeling. When I started playing regularly 8, 9 years ago, I didn't even have in mind to score 200 Premier League goals. When Tim Sherwood gave me my first start, he was so desperate to make a name for me. Lots of hard work with Mauricio and all the coaches. Jimmy Greaves is an absolute hero, one of the best players in the game. Being in this company is a special feeling. I'm sure his family is watching and proud too."
What he told the crowd after the game:"Thank you for supporting me throughout my career. Thanks to my wife, kids, family and friends. And my teammates. It's great. We'll keep supporting and see where it takes us."
Pep Guardiola's reaction
“We started very well. As always against Tottenham, at home or away, we made a mistake and they punished us. It is a team that is losing 1-0 and it is not easy. We had chances with Riyadh, but even with our people in front it's not easy and we lost three points."
Why he didn't start Kevin De Bruyne for tactical reasons, but replaced him anyway:“We caught him on the last pass. In the second half it got more difficult. He can perform any of these actions.”
stars of the show
Harry Kane:What else can you say about him?
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg:The kind that makes midfield a danger zone, and that meant an assist today.
Manuel Akanji:One of the few VALUs in town who continues to show a constant hunger.
Ivan Perisic:Going up and down the left side should have helped Kane late.
Jack Grealish:A constant threat that earned fouls out of nowhere. Maybe notAsbut it worked great.

Resultado final Tottenham vs. Manchester City: 1-0 (Kane, 15')
12:57 p.m. Eastern Time:Almost to both sides! Julian Alvarez fires a shot that narrowly misses the frame at one end and Kane should have taken a corner for a chance denied at the other end, but he was deflected wide of the frame.
12:51 p.m. m. Eastern Time:A City penalty corner almost made it 1-1, but Eric Dier's thigh hits a slice of the ball that looks set for the top 90. He is another corner and there is a hand cry against Cristian Romero that goes unnoticed. Now Spurs run the other way and Ivan Perisic closes in on Kane with a cross kick at six. It's fun!
12:43 p.m. m. Eastern Time:Very close to 2-0 but Ben Davies heads from a cornerFairBesides.
wait, what is this Kevin De Bruyne song? Now a game plan will be heard screaming for him as cameras capture the Belgian dressed for his presentation.
12:37 p.m. m. Eastern Time:Back in the game, albeit slowly, and the first real moment of the second half comes when Grealish wins a free-kick down the left from Emerson Royal. The raised free kick is a bit stubborn and seems to take too long, and the pass ends in a City goal kick. Still 1-0 Spurs.

12:17 p.m. m. Eastern Time:Broken lightning! Riyad Mahrez was about to make it 1-1 at half-time. With two minutes of added time, we're almost done.
12:13 p.m. m. Eastern Time:Close! Grealish was a power cord and whips in a picture that the picture can't find. City cannot find Erling Haaland and the xG fight is level at 0.37, even with City holding 68 per cent possession and a 6-2 shooting advantage. Still 1-0, Spurs, who took a corner, and City fail to get past because Kane and Eric Dier have a few chances to bring home a loose ball.
12:05 p.m. Eastern Time:He's a bit slower, so let's take a look at the reaction of the other two Premier League players who can say they've scored 200 goals in the competition.

11:52 a.m. m. Eastern Time:YELLOW CARD, TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR.Man City are back, but Spurs get the ball back and Kane wins a free kick well inside the circle. City get the ball back and Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis bring power to midfield. Lewis is brought down by Rodrigo Betancur, who receives a yellow card for being irritated.
11:47 a.m. m. Eastern Time:¡TOOOOOOAAALLLL! ¡TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR!And it's history forharry kane! It was still quite City, but poor distribution deep in his own box allowed Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to put the ball in for Kane inside the 18. From that angle and distance, Tottenham Hotspur's new all-time top scorer is unmissable and Spurs lead at home with their 267th goal. It is also their 200th Premier League goal. What a moment!Tottenham 1:0 Manchester City, 15'.

11:36 a.m. m. Eastern Time:It was a good start for Manchester City, with some corners. However, City appears to be an 18, which looks like the milk cartons on a supermarket shelf. City are currently opening the door to find a compact Spurs unit on the pitch with several blocked shots at 18.
11:15 a.m. m. Eastern Time:Good day! Nick Mendola here with you before a game Antonio Conte would love to have and Pep Guardiola plans to win. Some strange pre-match comments from Guardiola that Kevin De Bruyne is not in the starting line-up for tactical reasons, while Phil Foden is out due to injury/illness. The exciting understated Máximo Perrone is also ranked 18th and some suspect he is a long-term Rodri clone. As for the Spurs, Conte Richarlison enters the bench, which also has room for the new signings Pedro Porro and Arnaut Danjuma. Depth options and two tactical shooters on the sidelines should make this a complete game... unless Erling Haaland makes it one.business donebefore it has a chance to become a game of chess. Main plots and protagonists
When the two teams met two weeks ago, Tottenham led 2-0 at half time and threatened to defeat Manchester City again, giving rivals Arsenal a three-point lead in the title race. The second half arrived and the two-time champions played four games, three of them in the first 18 minutes. Another fantastic time wasted by Tottenham, although overall it was a bad start, followed by a frantic finish. Harry Kane will surpass Jimmy Greaves as all-time top scorer when he scores his next goal, taking his total in all competitions to 267. If Kane scores that goal in a Premier League match, the record goal will also be his 200th in the league
Erling Haaland (25 goals) is the only player with more PL goals than Kane (16) this season and while his numbers are certainly impressive, his arrival has clearly flummoxed Pep Guardiola's tactical system to some degree. One season ago, Manchester City conceded just 26 goals in 38 games (0.68 per game). 20 goals in 20 games this season, almost half a goal per game.
